The goal of social services/social counseling of the organization SOZE is to provide cost-free social, legal and psychological counseling to applicants for international security, asylum seekers, clients that received additional security, and to foreigners in general, in Moravia and Silesia. The counseling is provided at SOZE offices, such as, the main office in Brno, the branch office in Olomouc, the sanctuary facilities of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic and the facilities for foreigners’ security in Moravia and Silesia, in case of  need.
The goal of the counseling is to notify the clients about their rights and responsibilities related to their residency in the Czech Republic, about the social and cultural background of the Czech Republic, to provide security of rights and access to civilian and personal use, to assist with becoming part of the society and in this way to contribute to strengthening their dignity, self-confidence and independency and to furthermore enable them to live a full-valued life.
The social counseling includes many methodical and goal-directed activities, focused on overcoming every-day difficulties involving the need for qualitatively solving the refugees’ new situation that starts with his entry into the Czech Republic, and faster orientation in an unknown surrounding and his integration into the Czech society (providing housing and employment for foreigners, health insurance and social benefits, education, accreditation of education, unification of families, civil matters, citizenships, handling contacts with national and self governing authorities, personal assistance to foreigners at certain offices and help with various applications).
